Description: Control Center, also known as Ctrl Center is a rogue anti-spyware application. It is a new clone of the rogue malware applications Privacy Center. Control Center is either secretly installed onto your computer by a trojan such as Vundo trojan or intentionally downloaded by the user (thinking it is some helpful program). Once installed, Control Center basically takes over that PC and prohibits the opening of most programs and applications. Control Center tries to scare the user into purchasing the "full" version of the fake program.

Control Center can blocks almost all executable programs from running, giving off error messages whenever you try to run a program. If this is your case, please follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Restart your computer in Safe Mode with Networking. To go into Safe Mode, restart your PC normally and start tapping the F8 key until you are presented with DOS style options. For Windows XP, use the keyboard up/down arrow keys to select 'Safe Mode with Networking'. For Windows Vista select 'Windows Vista Advanced Boot Options' then select 'Safe Mode with Networking'.
